1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They enable websites to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time, so you don't have to keep re-entering them. Similar technologies include web beacons, pixel tags, and local storage objects. Throughout this policy, we use the term "cookies" to refer to all such technologies.
2. Legal Basis for Using Cookies
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR:
- Strictly necessary cookies are used on the basis of our legitimate interest and contract performance — they are required for the Platform to function and no consent is needed
- Analytics and marketing cookies are used only with your explicit, informed consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time.
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Platform to operate. Without them, you cannot log in, submit applications, or use core features. You cannot opt out of these cookies.

|---|---|---|
| egrigo-finance-session | Maintains your authenticated session. Without this cookie you would be logged out on every page. | Session / 2 hours inactivity |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) protection token. Prevents malicious websites from making unauthorised requests on your behalf. | Session |
| egrigo_consent | Stores your cookie consent preferences so you are not shown the banner on every visit. | 180 days |
3.2 Analytics Cookies (Consent Required)
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Platform by collecting anonymised, aggregated data. We use Google Analytics 4. Data processed under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for any EEA-to-US transfers.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated number as a client identifier. | 2 years |
| _ga_[ID] | Google Analytics | Used to persist session state across page requests. | 2 years |
3.3 Marketing & Advertising Cookies (Consent Required)
These cookies are used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and to track conversions from Google Ads. They are only activated when you consent to marketing cookies.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |

| _gcl_aw | Google Ads | Stores the Google Click ID (GCLID) of the most recent ad click. | 90 days |
4. Third-Party Cookies
We integrate the following third-party services that may set cookies on your device:
- Google Analytics / Google Ads — subject to Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy
We do not use social media tracking cookies, retargeting pixels from Facebook, LinkedIn, or other social platforms.
5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
Our Cookie Banner: When you first visit the Platform, you will see a cookie consent banner. You can choose to Accept All, Reject All, or Manage Preferences to enable only the categories you are comfortable with.
Changing Your Preferences: You can update your preferences at any time by clicking the cookie icon in the bottom of any page or navigating to our Cookie Policy page.
Browser Controls: Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can usually find these in the "Privacy" or "Security" section of your browser's settings:
Note: Disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from logging in or using the Platform. Disabling analytics and marketing cookies will not affect your ability to use the Platform.
Google Analytics Opt-Out: You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Cookies and Personal Data
Where cookies process personal data (such as IP addresses or device identifiers), they are governed by our Privacy Policy. Analytics cookies operated by Google may involve international transfers to the USA under Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" feature. Our Platform currently does not respond to Do Not Track signals, as there is no universal standard for this technology. We recommend using our cookie preference centre to control tracking.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or change cookies or when legal requirements change. The updated policy will be published at egrigo.com/cookies with a new effective date. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
